The project aims to develop knowledge on consequences and effects of labour migration and service mobility from the new EU-member states to Norway. The main question in the project is whether, and how, European labour mobility also implies inclusion in ”the good working life” in the host countries. We are also investigating to what extent Norwegian companies that move production to the CEE-countries export the Norwegian labour model. The project consists of several modules that include a survey of Norwegian companies labour recruitment strategies, case studies to investigate the relation between core staff, hire staff and posted workers, a comparative study (between Norway, Denmark and UK) on trade union responses to labour migration and a study of mechanisms related to minimum wages and protection of vulnerable workers.
